Hedda Malde
Feminine Yoga teacher and women’s spaceholder

Hedda met with yoga in her early twenties when she was living and studying Finance in Sydney, Australia. She immediately fell in love with the practice, loving how it was such a calm space and a time for rest, in an otherwise busy time of her life.

She explored different teachers and traditions of yoga and buddhism, while pursuing her career in Finance. During the financial crises in 2009, she decided to leave the business world and travel to India, to further study and practice yoga.

During the next three years, she travelled between India, Australia and Norway, focusing her time on practice and study of yoga. She was during this time living in both Buddhist centers (Chenrezig institute) as well as in Yoga Ashrams (Mangrove Yoga Ashram, Yoga vidja Gurukul with more).

While living in Mangrove Yoga Ashram, Australia, she met the father to her two children. She moved to Norway during the pregnancy and ended up spending 10 years there. When her son was 1 years old, she started Grimstad Yoga, a successful yogastudio in her hometown, firstly teaching classical yoga, then later Yin Yoga, Pregnancy yoga, Mum and bus yoga, Yoga for women and Chakradance.

Over the years, Hedda realized the value of finding a more womb friendly way of practicing and teaching yoga. After doing more training, she slowly started weaving that into her classes, as well as offering retreats for women to dive deeper into themselves with the support of sisterhood.

Hedda has attended several 10 day meditations retreats, including Goenkaji Vippassana and retreats with Christopher Titmuss. Hedda feels so grateful for all teachers she has had, and feel deeply inspired by Angela Farmer, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Maya Luna, Sonja Maria Devi, Paul Wooden and more.

Heddas last training has been in Psychic Somatics and she has been able to deeply feel into some deep rooted beliefs, and are amazed at how incredible this type of therapy/healing is. Hedda is so excited to also offer this to Women who are ready to go deeper, into sometimes the more uncomfortable places, to be able to transform and change and move into more authenticity and freedom in their lives.
